LARSON 2014 // QC Child Portrait Photographer

This was my very first infant session...and it ended up being so great! Ashley contacted me about doing a surprise session for her husband as a Father’s Day gift! We met at a local park on a cloudy day and everything went perfectly! Isaac turned out to be quite the little ham and Ashley showed up with some great ideas and props!  I especially love the one with Isaac wearing his Daddy’s tie!

The other day I realized that one thing I never did was post blog stories to go along with my sessions. So, today I bring you my very first “official” (which just means I got paid, ha!) session! We actually ended up doing two separate shoots and it was a ton of fun. Obviously, Elise is now off kicking-butt at college, but it’s fun to look back. :)

Winter Wonderland

If you're in the midwest - specifically north central/west Iowa, you are probably covered in snow at the moment!  After a failed attempt to get to work (icy roads? no thanks!), I came back and took some photos of the trees out front.  They were quite pretty in the morning light.

And my cute little dog...or rather his butt, ha!

Branding: Logos, Colors...FUN :)

So, obviously I gave up on that 365 project...ha. Oh well, MOVING ON.

I decided I need to rework my brand.  I did some research, read some good articles and went to work.  Here's what I came up with, what d'ya think?

Omg, my little brother graduated highschool.  This is a photo of my grandma and a long time family friend at his graduation party...which was flippin freezing by the way. :)

365 Update #16

I'm so ridiculously behind on posting that it's just sad.  Basically, the more photos that I had building up  the less I wanted to deal with them! Luckily, it's a long weekend and I have zero plans - so I have zero excuses!  Sit back, relax and be prepared for several blog updates this weekend!

So this happened.

I'm not joking.  I think we got about 8 inches of HEAVY snow...as you can see our tree is touching the ground.  It usually isn't...le sigh.  At least it melted pretty quickly.

Cutest. Dog. Ever.  Seriously, what a ham!  He spent a good 15 minutes just rolling around on the floor letting me take pictures of him! :)

Happy Cinco...one day early!  We went to a nearby "big" town to see Iron Man 3 and celebrate with mexican food.  The movie was pretty good and the margaritas were even better!
